DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Fig. 1 illustrates a catching device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention intended to be placed in a body of water, for example in the form of a sea, a lake or a river, for catching fish. In this case, the catching device 1 constitutes a fish trap. However, the catching device according to the invention may have a different design and could, for example, be designed for catching shellfish, such as lobsters or crabs.
The catching device 1 comprises a net chamber 5 formed by net portions 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b which is provided with at least one inlet opening 6 and at least one discharge opening 7.
The catching device 1 further comprises a stand 8 for keeping said net portions stretched out. The net chamber 5 is designed for trapping fish which enter the net chamber via the entrance opening 6 and fish trapped in the net chamber can then be emptied out of the net chamber via the discharge opening 7.
In the illustrated embodiment, the net chamber 5 consists of two net portions 2a, 2b forming two opposite end walls of the net chamber, a lower net portion 3a forming a bottom of the net chamber, an upper net portion 3b forming a roof of the net chamber and two net portions 4a, 4b which form two opposite side walls of the mesh chamber.
In Figs. 1 and 2, the net chamber 5 is shown with the net portion 2a and the net portion 4a partially cut to clarify the net portion 3a which forms the bottom of the net chamber. In the illustrated example, one of the net portions forming one of the end walls of the net chamber is ostrich-shaped and the inlet opening 6 of the net chamber is in this case arranged in the center of this net portion 2a and surrounded by a rigid frame-shaped element 9, e.g. metal pelvis, which is attached to the relevant mesh section. In the longitudinal direction of the net chamber, the net portion 2a is kept taut by means of ropes 10 which are attached to the frame-shaped element 9 and which in the illustrated example converge towards the opposite net portion 2b, to which these ropes 10 are attached. The strut-shaped net portion 2a is tapered towards the opposing net portion 2b.
The stand 8 comprises a frame 20 which surrounds the discharge opening 7 and which comprises an elongate first frame element 21 and an opposite elongate second frame element 22. The second frame element 22 extends along the first frame element 21 at a distance therefrom. The discharge opening 7 is formed between these frame elements 21, 22, which in the illustrated example are mutually parallel and rod-shaped. In the illustrated embodiment, the frame 20 also includes a rod-shaped third frame member 23 extending between the first and second frame members 21, 22 at a first end thereof and a rod-shaped fourth frame member 24 extending between the first and second frame members. second frame members 21, 22 at a second end thereof. A first net portion 3a of the net chamber is attached to the first frame member 21 and a second net portion 2a of the net chamber is attached to the second frame member 22. In the illustrated embodiment, said first net portion 3a is constituted by the net portion forming the bottom of the net chamber and said the second net portion 2a in this case consists of the net portion which forms one end wall of the net chamber. In this case, the discharge opening 7 is thus located between the net portion 3a which forms the bottom of the net chamber and the net portion 2a which forms one end wall of the net chamber. In the illustrated example, these net portions 3a, 2a are clamped to the respective frame elements 21, 22 by means of annular fastening means 25 extending around the frame element, but they could instead be fastened to the respective frame elements 21, 22 or fastened in this in any other appropriate manner.
The catching device 1 is provided with a closing device 30 for closing the discharge opening 7. This closing device 30 comprises a closing means 31 which is pivotally connected to the frame 20 and arranged on the outside of the second net portion 2a. The closing means 31 is located outside the net chamber 5 and is pivotable relative to the frame 20 back and forth between a lowered closed position (see Fig. 1), in which the closing means 31 keeps the second net portion 2a depressed over the discharge opening 7 and thereby keeps the discharge opening closed. and a raised open position (see Fig. 2), in which the second net portion 2a is allowed to leave the discharge opening 7 free so that trapped fish can be emptied out of the net chamber 5 by passing between the first frame element 21 and the second net portion 2a and further out through the discharge opening 7. The closing means 31 is suitably arranged to be flush with the frame 20 when the closing means are in the lowered closed position, as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 3. The second net portion 2a is not attached to the closing means 31. In the lowered closed position, the closing means 31 abuts against the outside of the second net portion 2a.
In the illustrated embodiment, the closure member 31 is an elongate shackle extending between the above-mentioned third and fourth frame members 23, 24 of the frame 20. This shackle comprises an elongate member 32 extending parallel to the first frame member 21 and extending in the lower member of the closure member. folded closed position is located in the middle of the first frame element 21 at a close distance therefrom, as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 3. A first end 31a of the closure member is rotatably mounted in a first seat 26a fixedly connected to the frame 20 (see Fig. 3), and an opposite second end 31b of the closure member is rotatably mounted in a second seat 26b fixedly connected to the frame 20. These seats 26a, 26b define the axis of rotation A1 of the closure member, which extends parallel to and at a distance from the first frame member 21 and the elongate portion 32 of the closure member. In the illustrated embodiment, the respective seat 26a, 26b is constituted by a sleeve, in which the associated end 31a, 31b of the closing member is rotatably and axially displaceably received. In the illustrated example, one sleeve 26a is fixedly connected to the third frame member 23 and projects therefrom toward the fourth frame member 24, while the other sleeve 26b is fixedly connected to the fourth frame member 24 and projects therefrom toward the third frame element 23.
The closing member 31 is held in the lowered closed position by means of a locking device 40 connected to the frame 20, as illustrated in more detail in Figs. 3 and 5. In the illustrated embodiment, the closing member 31 is in its longitudinal direction and against the action of a spring element 33 (see Fig. 4) slidably relative to the frame 20 from a projecting locking position (see Fig. 3), in which the closing member 31 is prevented by engagement with the locking device 40 from the lowered closed position to the raised open position, to a retracted release position (see Fig. 5), in which the closing member 31 is free to pivot from the lowered closed position to the raised open position. In the illustrated example, said spring element 33 is constituted by a compression spring which is clamped between a support surface 27 inside the sleeve 26a and a support surface 34 at the bottom of a recess 35 at the first end 31a of the closing member.
In the illustrated embodiment, the locking device 40 comprises a lower locking member 41 and an upper locking member 42. The locking member 41, 42 may for instance consist of mutually parallel plates which are fixedly connected to the fourth frame element 24 and project from it in the direction of the third frame element. 23, as illustrated in Figs. 3 and 5. The closing means 31 comprises an engaging part 36 which is arranged to be received in the space between said lower and upper locking means 41, 42 when the closing means 31 is in the locking position in order thereby to prevent a pivoting the closure member relative to the frame 20 from the lowered closed position to the raised open position.
The lower locking member 41 projects beyond the upper locking member 10 to form a shoulder 43 for the engaging member 36 which prevents a pivot of the closure member 31 downwardly past the lowered closed position when the closure member is in the release position. Thus, when the closure member 31 is displaced axially from the locking position illustrated in Fig. 3 to the release position illustrated in Fig. 5, the engaging portion 36 overlaps the shoulder 43 of the lower locking member 41, while freeing it from the upper locking member 42 so that the closure member 31 can thereby is swung upwards in the direction away from the first frame element 21 from the lowered closed position in the direction of the raised open position. The pivoting movement of the closing member in the direction away from the first frame element 21 is limited by the second frame element 22.
To facilitate the mounting of the closure member 31 in the sleeves 26a, 26b, the closure member is provided at its first end 31a with a coupling sleeve 37. In connection with the mounting of the closure member 31 at the frame 20, the coupling sleeve 37 is moved, while it is disengaged from the remaining part of the closure member, into the sleeve 26a and the other end 31b of the closure member is inserted into the second sleeve 26b. Thereafter, the coupling sleeve 37 is connected to the remaining part of the closing member 31 and locked at the first end 31a of the closing member, for example by means of a locking pin 38 or by welding.
The closing means 31 has a gripping part 39. When operating the closing means 31, a user is intended to grasp this gripping part 39 by hand in order to move the closing means in the desired direction.
In the illustrated embodiment, the stand 8 is collapsible and comprises a frame-shaped and substantially rectangular first scaffold part 50 and a frame-shaped and substantially rectangular second scaffold part 60 which is rotatably connected to the first scaffold part 50. These scaffold parts 50, 60 cross each other and are rotatable relative to each other around a rotary shaft A2 (see Fig. 6) 10 15 20 25 30 35 10 extending across the scaffolding parts at the center thereof.
The scaffold parts 50, 60 are rotatable relative to each other and eat between a folded-up position (see Fig. 1), in which the scaffold parts are arranged to keep the net portions 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b of the net chamber taut, and a folded transport and storage position (see Fig. 6). In the folded position, the catching device 1 is substantially flat and thus easy to handle at the same time as it takes up a limited space. In addition, due to the flat configuration in the folded position, a plurality of folded catching devices 1 can be stacked on top of each other in a simple and space-saving manner. For the sake of clarity, the stand 8 is shown in Fig. 6 without associated mesh sections 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b.
The respective scaffold parts 50, 60 comprise two mutually parallel side bars 51, 52, 61, 62 and two or more transverse bars extending between them. The frame 20 surrounding the discharge opening 7 is arranged at one end of the first scaffold part 50 and forms an extension thereof. The first frame element 21 of the frame 20 constitutes a cross bar extending between the side bars 51, 52 of the first scaffold part at a first end of the first scaffold part 50 parallel to the axis of rotation A2 of the scaffold parts. A further cross bar 53 extends between the two side bars 51, 52 at the opposite second end of the first scaffold part 50 parallel to the axis of rotation A2 of the scaffold parts. The third frame member 23 of the frame 20 forms an extension of one side bar 51 of the first scaffold member and the fourth frame member 24 of the frame 20 forms an extension of the second side bar 52 of the first scaffold member.
The frame elements 21-24 of the frame 20 and the side bars 51, 52 and cross bar 53 of the first scaffold part are suitably flush with each other.
A first cross bar 63 extends between the side bars 61, 62 at a first end of the second scaffolding part 60 parallel to the axis of rotation A2 of the scaffolding parts, and a second cross bar 64 extends between the two side bars 61, 62 at the opposite side. the other end of the second scaffold part 60 parallel to the axis of rotation A2 of the scaffold parts.
In the illustrated embodiment, the second scaffolding part 60 is arranged inside the first scaffolding part 50 and received inside the net chamber 5, while the side bars 51, 52 of the first scaffolding part extend on the outside of the net chamber 5.
In the illustrated example, the net portion 3b forming the roof of the net chamber and the net portion 2b forming one end wall of the net chamber are attached to the upper cross bar 53 of the first scaffold part, while the cross bars 63, 64 of the second scaffold part 60 are not connected to any of the network chamber's network sections but abut loosely against adjacent network sections. One side bar 51 of the first scaffold part is hingedly connected at its central portion to a center portion of one side bar 61 of the second scaffold member via a first link L1, while the second side bar 52 of the first scaffold portion at its center portion is hingedly connected to a central portion of the second side member 62 of the second scaffold member via a second link L2. These joints L1, L2 define the axis of rotation A2 of the scaffolding parts.
Two elongate elastic elements 70, 71, for example in the form of elastic bands or strings, are arranged between the upper crossbar 53 of the first scaffold part and the upper crossbar 63 of the second scaffold part and are attached to their respective ends. at these crossbars, as illustrated in Fig. 1. Two elongate elastic elements 72, 73, for example in the form of elastic bands or strings, are correspondingly arranged between the first frame element 21 of the first frame part and the lower crossbar 64. at the other scaffold part and are attached at their respective ends to this frame element and this crossbar. The two scaffold parts 50, 60 are rotatable relative to each other from the folded-up position to the folded transport and storage position against the action of the spring force and these elastic elements are thus biased when the scaffold 8 is in the folded-in position 10. 12 20 and thereby facilitates a return of the position from the folded position to the folded position.
In the illustrated embodiment, the catching device 1 rests against a base via the second frame element 22 of the frame 20 and the frame 20 thereby helps to keep the bottom of the net chamber at a distance from the base, which reduces the risk of wear on the net chamber 5.
The scaffolding parts 50, 60, the closing member 31 and the locking means 41, 42 are suitably of metal, for example aluminum.
The net portions 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b of the net chamber 5 may be made of a flexible net of plastic or textile material, the net being of the knotted or woven type. The net portions are suitably made of a net of strong material, for example DYNEEMA to resist attacks from seals.
The invention is of course in no way limited to the embodiments described above, but a number of possibilities for modifications thereof should be obvious to a person skilled in the art, without this for that reason deviating from the basic idea of the invention as defined in the appended claims. .
